Community Service

As a committed member of the local, national, and global communities, Heritage Academy participates in many service and philanthropic ventures. The school welcomes all students who wish to gain service hours through offering their time and generosity to those in need.

While coming together to help others less fortunate, Heritage Academy students experience a myriad of enjoyable activities and socializing. Each year, many of our students are recognized by the Mayor of Hilton Head for their commitment to serving our community and some earning the top Call to Service Award of 150+ hours. Heritage Academy students are self-starting, motivated, and hard working. Last year alone, students contributed well over 2,000 hours in serving their community with over 20 organizations served annually. Students realize the value of spending time in meaningful ways and are happy to step up to volunteer. Heritage students experience first-hand how serving others makes them a better global citizen. Plus, they realize having service hours confirms to a college or university that they are well-rounded, kind, and caring.
