This course is designed for international students to learn the skills of the English language. Each student will be tested to determine placement and will then develop skills in communicating in English and to improve grammar, reading, writing, comprehension, vocabulary, listening, and speaking skills.

Based on classroom performance, teacher recommendation, and formal assessments, students will be mainstreamed into regular college prep courses if they have reached a level of mastery in English reading, writing, and comprehension skills which will ensure success in the college prep classroom.
