Here in the ESL Science Advanced class, which focuses on biology, students take a microscopic look at various human and animal blood cells. There are also different slides that include various types of cells from vegetables, human organs, etc. The students sketched what they saw by color and shape. DongJin Park examines the slides and sketches his findings. Sean Hu is pictured on the main page.
Our current chapter discusses the 5 characteristics of living things: they have cells, respond to stimuli, have adaptations that help with survival, are able to reproduce, and they grow and develop. Students have chosen an animal to do an analysis of these traits via PowerPoint presentation. Once students have finished, we will begin our oral presentations in class. Yukino and Thomas strike a pose with their presentations!
