Recovery
Program Purpose
Heritage Academy at Tulifinny will provide middle and high school education
that meet the South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA)
accreditation standards for girls in residence at Tulifinny.
Location
The program will take place at Tulifinny at 11 Grassey Lane in Bluffton, South
Carolina.
Schedule
Students may receive up to two blocks of instruction daily, Monday-Friday, for
10 weeks per quarter. Ten 2 ½ hour
modules are required for one credit. Some
courses required enrollment at the beginning of the quarter and others are
designed to allow students to enter coursework at any time during the quarter.
Credit will not be earned until completion of the required modules for a given
course.
Program Components

Heritage Academy at Tulifinny does
not offer a high school diploma. To earn a diploma, students must attend the
Heritage Academy Hilton Head campus. All Tulifinny courses are designed to
transfer to a student’s home school upon completion. An official transcript
will be prepared to document course completion.

All Tulifinny courses are designed
to cover relevant curriculum for multi-age classes, grades 7 through 12.

Classroom instruction will be
interactive and participatory. Students will work in large and small groups, on
independent tasks and projects, in a nurturing supportive environment.

Instruction will be provided by
qualified staff and supervised by Heritage Academy.
·
Course offerings are subject to
minimum enrollments.
·
Course final exams will be held for
all courses earning high school credit.
·
All students are expected to begin
coursework by enrolling in the Strand A course. Tuliffiny staff must approve enrollment in
more than one course in order to accommodate their program schedule.

Description
|
Middle and high
school Strand A courses are integrated around the theme of Exploration in content and skills related to fine arts,
literature, history and science.

Middle and high
school core courses are integrated within each discipline around core skills
and content in English/language arts, science, social studies or math.

All online
courses are arranged by Heritage Academy through the University of Nebraska
for high school students only.
