Student Recognition

Student Of The Month

In 2009, a group of students came together with the administration to create an honor code in way of recognizing students with great character qualities. The tradition continues today as we celebrate student successes as global citizens. The faculty selects ‘Students of the Month’ (SOTM) on the basis of these Honor Code values. September through April, students are nominated monthly by their exemplification of the core Heritage Academy values: Humility, Ethics, Respect, Integrity, Tolerance, Accountability, Generosity, and Effort.

School Ceremonies: SOTM assemblies, Early Signing Ceremony, Underclassman awards, Senior Awards, Judy Jones Award, and Graduation

Academic Recognition: Honor Roll, National Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, Graduation with Distinction, Hilton Head Island’s Rotary Club’s Outstanding Students Program

Passion Area or Accomplishment Recognition: Ricardo, Local area magazine articles, the Island Packet newspaper, Facebook and Instagram
