Final Exam Policy

Final exams assess a students' mastery of content learned over the semester. High school final exams count 20% of the final grade. All high school courses require a final exam each semester, including AP courses.

Middle school students take quarter assessments in lieu of final exams. Quarter 1 and Quarter 3 assessments are scheduled during normal school hours.

Middle school students complete Quarter 2 and Quarter 4 assessments during the high school exam schedule. A grade 8 student enrolled in a high school course will be held to that exam schedule and sit for the exam.

Final exams are never taken before the assigned exam day. Any student who does not sit for final exams and is not approved by the Head of School to miss the test time receives a 0% on each exam missed. High school exams last two hours.
